What is "glitch text"?
Glitch text, also known as "Zalgo text" or "cursed text," is created by stacking many "combining diacritical marks" (like accents and underlines) on top of normal letters. This makes the text appear to fragment, break, and "glitch out" vertically and horizontally, all while still being selectable, copyable text.
Where can I use this text without issues?
It works best on modern platforms that fully support the latest Unicode standards. This includes most social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and messaging apps like Discord. On some older systems or very restrictive input fields (like certain username forms), it may display incorrectly or be too long. Always test!
Why does some text look so tall or messy?
That's the magic of Zalgo! Our generator programmatically adds dozens or even hundreds of these special marks to each letter. The more marks are added "up" or "down", the taller and more "corrupted" the line of text will appear. Some platforms may limit how tall the text can get to prevent layout issues.
